Emre Peser has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. He is an entrepreneur and expert with extensive experience in capital and FX markets. He has provided strategic consulting services to startups seeking to establish new brokerage businesses by assisting them in structuring their operations. He has also managed various companies in capital markets. He established and oversaw information technology consultancy firms in different countries. He is the founder of Smartque Consulting Inc. and is eager to share his experience with our new partners.
Bulent Onsoy - Co-founder, CTO
With over 30 years of experience in banking, payments, telecom, and startups, our co-founder has successfully led teams, scaled businesses, and delivered applications and products that uphold the highest quality, security, and innovation standards. Whether overseeing a regional team of over 300 professionals, managing a $50 million engineering budget, or guiding the strategic direction of application development, we blend deep technical expertise with business acumen. Roy Kao - Strategic Advisor
Roy Kao is a recognized executive, advisor, and dot connector in Canadian financial services transformation and fintech innovation development with over 25 years of leadership, consulting, and entrepreneurial experience. He is looking forward to working with SmartQue’s clients and partners to accelerate and scale the progress of digital transformation and open banking developments in North America. In addition to his role as the Strategic Advisor to SmartQue, Roy also currently sits as Co-Chair of FDX Canada’s Government and Industry Relations Task Force and serves a member on the boards of Fintech Cadence and Open Finance Network Canada (OFNC) and as an Advisory Board Member for Open Banking Expo.
Kenan Agyel - Strategic Technical Advisor
Kenan Agyel is a senior software engineer and architect with over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, spanning enterprise infrastructure, payment systems, data management, and AI-native product development. With deep expertise in backend architecture, API design, multi-agent AI systems, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure, he brings a rare combination of hands-on technical depth and strategic vision to SmartQue's clients and partners. Prior to his advisory role, Kenan held leadership positions including VP of IT, Operations & Datacentre Services and VP of Data, Storage and Disaster Recovery at Garanti Bank, overseeing open systems and mainframe environments across multiple teams. He has delivered secure payment solutions across the EMEA region, architected production AI platforms deployed at international events, and built data pipelines and analytics systems at scale. Kenan is committed to helping SmartQue's partners leverage cutting-edge technology capabilities to accelerate their digital transformation.
Kerem Erdem - Strategic Technical Advisor
As a seasoned entrepreneur and architect, Kerem brings a high-level technical lens to the SmartQue leadership team. His career is defined by building and scaling innovative software ventures—including a notable acquisition by Ericsson—and leading complex R&D and digital transformation projects for global industries such as finance and telecom, among others.
With over 30 years of international experience, Kerem most recently served as CTO and CISO for a generative AI company specializing in synthetic data and agents. He leverages this deep expertise in AI, Cloud infrastructure, and information security to bridge the gap between sophisticated technology and scalable business delivery.
